Groundbreaking Ceremony for the 120 MW HBRE Ha Tinh Wind Power Project: A New Milestone in Vietnam’s Renewable Energy Development
On 28 July 2026, HBRE Ha Tinh Wind Power Joint Stock Company, in collaboration with IPC Engineering & Construction Joint Stock Company (IPC E&C), held the groundbreaking ceremony for the 120 MW HBRE Ha Tinh Wind Power Project in Ha Tinh Province. The event marks a significant milestone in the project’s implementation and contributes to expanding the supply of clean electricity to Vietnam’s national power system while supporting the country’s sustainable energy transition objectives.
Benefiting from favorable natural conditions and the strong wind energy potential of the North Central region, the project is expected to make a substantial contribution to increasing the share of renewable energy in Vietnam’s generation mix, while simultaneously fostering local socio-economic development.
Commencing the Development of a Large-Scale Energy Infrastructure Project
LThe groundbreaking ceremony not only signifies the official commencement of construction activities but also demonstrates the readiness of the project owner, EPC contractor, and project partners to bring to fruition a strategically important renewable energy project that supports Vietnam’s energy transition agenda.
Upon completion, the HBRE Ha Tinh Wind Power Project will enable the efficient utilization of the region’s wind resources, generate clean electricity to meet growing energy demand, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals.
IPC E&C Appointed as EPC Contractor
For this project, IPC E&C has been entrusted by the developer to serve as the Engineering,
Procurement and Construction (EPC) Contractor. Under the contract scope, IPC E&C will undertake all major project activities, including engineering design, equipment procurement, civil construction, installation, testing and commissioning, performance acceptance, and project handover in accordance with the project requirements.
Drawing on its experience in delivering numerous energy projects both domestically and internationally, IPC E&C will work closely with the project owner, consultants, and project partners to ensure timely execution while meeting the highest standards of quality, technical performance, and construction safety throughout the project lifecycle.

For large-scale energy projects, effective project management, quality assurance, and occupational health and safety management are critical to achieving investment objectives and maintaining project schedules.
